This is how to perform the Subjective Visual Vertical (SVV) test using the Virtualis software and virtual reality goggles to control the patient's visual field.

Have the patient sit in a chair.
We recommend using a rotary or swivel chair without foot support, so the patient receives less proprioceptive input for verticality during the assessment.
Instruct the patient that their goal is to align the line in the VR headset to what they perceive as vertical.
They'll use the Xbox controller for this task.
They can adjust the line left or right using the top back buttons.
Once they perceive the line as fully vertical, they press the green A button to lock in and confirm their selection.
Place the VR headset on the patient's head and adjust the fit using the headset dial.
