Welcome to this course on wideband tympanometry, presented by Dr Gabrielle R. Merchant, AuD., PhD., CCC-A, and Dr Hammam AlMakadma, AuD., PhD., CCC-A, in collaboration with the Interacoustics Academy. The learning objectives for this course are to:- Understand the foundations of acoustic mechanics involved in wideband tympanometry, its terminology and the differences between wideband tympanometry and single frequency tympanometry- Be able to identify factors which can introduce variability into the wideband tympanometry measurement and know how to optimize measurement technique for accurate and reliable recordings.-Explore the clinical applications of wideband tympanometry for both the adult and pediatric population and for a variety of pathologies.
